Odisha finished runners-up in the National School Football Championship, going down to host Goa 5-0 in the final at Panaji, Goa two days ago. In the quarterfinals Odisha blanked Tamil Nadu 5-0 with Manuram Tudu scoring three goals. Sudhansuhu Soren and Bablu Murmu netted one goal each.
Earlier, Odisha beat Chandigarh 1-0 in the first match and then defeated Bengal 2-1 in the next match to emerge group champions. Lakhai Murmu and Babla Soren scored against Bengal.
